About Me:

page under constrution and may take a while.

Hi and thanks for being here. Im Trish, mother to three grown up children and somehow we survived the ups n downs and are best friends - what more could I ask of them - that they live up to some of my ideals, well yes, but more than anything I hope I have prepared them to make their way through life with love in their hearts,  tolerence towards others and enough resilience to ward off lifes slings and arrows in a constructive manner.

When I got to the age of 50 I decided to get to university which had been a lifelong plan, I have been there two and a half years now and am close to the end but…… sods law has come into play and I have decided I simply do not like academia - it isnt me - I dont like the way that it expects answers to be phrased to please its pedagogues or its potential to create sheep. Very sweeping statement I know and am not blind to the fact that as a way of training the mind to assess information it certainly has its good points - Im only saying that I dont think its for me because my brain simply doesnt work in such a structured manner - maybe Im just too set in my ways or maybe because i dont see knowledge as such a rigid phenomena, rather, I see it an an ever changing, cyclical, continually self revealing spiral - or like fractal geometry, which is often, to my mind, far too beautiful for words at all - but unfolds in its own space, pace and time - complex as a snowflake and simple as an atom.

I may just decide to do the last term next year or sometime else - maybe im just tired of it for now, not going to stress too much as I believe the answer will present itself in its own time whether I stress or dont stress.

I have just found a waking buddy so have had four amazing walks this week in the hills near my home which is on the Lancashire/Yorkshire border in England. Its a great time of year for getting walks in as its lambing time and not too warm yet.

My friends boyfriend drops us off at the top of the moors and we make our way back, up hill and down dale - its been an idyllic week. I initially thought, great, downhill all the way - its no such thing but we have got the time down from 2 hrs to 1 hr 20 miins today - it was hilarious as the first severely uphill bit, where there is absolutely no shelter with the winds skimming over the moors and the rain coming down with a vengeance - we were shouting to each other 'why exactly did we say we wanted to do this'
The first day we were both a bit put out with the problem of how to get through a herd of cows which were at the gate we wanted to go through with the dog - i remembered from some deep place that they are not agressive and just bravely walked into the middle of them - they just looked blankly at me and slowly moved as they figured where I wanted to go. I took a photo which will post when i get to that  bit, as well as photos of the lambs.

Ok so that some of who i am - will review and add/edit later.
Thanks for reading this far
With Love
Trish
